Aronian is back in top 10 in FIDE ratings

FIDE has released the chess players’ ratings today.

Levon Aronian, who is currently involved in the European Team Chess Championship, has improved his rating to 2767. The Armenian grandmaster is ranked 8th now.

 

Two other Armenian players are also on the table – Gabriel Sargsyan (ranked 47th) and Hrant Melkumyan (ranked 79th).

 

As usual, World champion Magnus Carlsen (rating – 2780) tops the table.
