Armenian women’s team shares places 3-5 in European Chess C’ship

The European Team Chess Championship has concluded Round 7 in Batumi, Georgia.

Armenian women’s team has beaten Serbia 2.5-1.5. Lilit Mkrtchyan and Elina Danielyan won their games, Maria Gevorgyan lost hers and Anna Sargsyan drew.


Now Armenia has 10 points and shares places 3-5.


The men’s team lost to England. Levon Aronian, Gabriel Sargsyan and Hrant Melkumyan drew their games and Hayk Martirosyan lost his. The men’s team has dropped to the 9th place with 9 points.
