Armenia women’s team leads in World Chess C’ship

The first round of Team World Chess Championship has finished in Astana.

Armenia women’s team defeated Egypt with 4:0 score and is currently leading in the competition. The victories were registered by Lilit Mkrtchyan, Anna Sargsyan, Maria Gevorgyan and Siranush Ghukasyan.

The Armenia women’s team is leading with additional indicators.

China, which was stronger than Hungary with 3.5:0.5 score, is in the second place. Russia, which took advantage over Kazakhstan with 3:1 score, is in the third place.

India-Georgia and U.S.-Ukraine pairs finished their performance with 2:2 score.

Armenia will compete against Russia in the second round today.
