Armenia has summed up the national chess championships. The winners of men’s and women’s tournaments were clear even before the final round, and both players did take the gold in the end. Arman Pashikyan finished first with 6.5 points and Maria Gevorgyan won the title with 7 points.

Last time Pashikyan won the Armenian Championship back in 2009, and for Maria Gevorgyan this was the third gold (she won the championship in 2016 and 2017 as well).

Hayk Martirosyan is the runner-up with 5.5 points and Samvel Ter-Sahakyan came third with 5 points.

In the women’s tournament, the runner up Susanna Gaboyan and third-placed Siranush Ghukasyan earned 5.5 points each.

The prize funds for men’s and women’s championships respectively made AMD 5m and AMD 1,100m.
