Grand Chess Tour has wrapped up its last leg, London Chess Classic, which was held with a new system.
The winners were decided in tie-break. Levon Aronian lost to Fabiano Caruana in the game for the third place, while Hikaru Nakamura took the top spot and Maxime Vachier-Lagrave concluded the tournament as the runner-up.
With 26 points in total, Aronian finished 4th in Grand Chess Tour and earned USD 135,000.
The organizers say they will conduct two classic and four rapid and blitz tournaments next year.
