Armenia men’s team drops points in World Chess Olympiad after loss to USA

World Chess Olympiad will end today in Batumi, Georgia.

Armenian mean’s team suffered a loss to the U.S. in round 10. Levon Aronian, Gabriel Sargsyan and Robert Hovhannisyan’s draws and Hrant Melkumyan’s loss set the score at 1.5-2.5, pushing the Armenian team to the 7th place.

With 15 points in total, Armenia is behind the leaders U.S. and China, who have earned 17 points each. They will play in the final.

Armenia’s next opponent is Germany.
