World Chess Olympiad: Armenian women’s team sits 2nd

The games of Round 3 were held yesterday in World Chess Olympiad in Batumi, Georgia.

Armenian women’s team faced Greece and won 3.5-0.5. Elina Danielyan, Anna Sargsyan and Maria Kursova won their games, and Lilit Mkrtchyan finished hers with a draw.

They have earned 6 points so far, the same amount as several other teams, but the Armenian squad sits second by the final Round 3 score. The leader is China. Today Armenian women’s team will play against Italy.
