4 top players of Sinquefield Cup in St. Louis qualified for participation in London Chess Classic.

For the first time players with the biggest number of points from Grand Chess Tour competitions will participate in London tournament in the new format. 

Hikaru Nakamura took the first place in Grand Chess Tour, followed by Levon Aronian and Maxime Vachier-Lagrave.

Fabiano Caruana defeated Wesley So in yesterday’s tie-break and joined the above mentioned players.

On December 11-17 they will participate in final battles in London. The competition will be held in a knockout format with first semi-final and then final pairings. Prize fund is USD 300,000.
