World Chess Championship to be held in London

World Chess Championship will take place on November 9-28 of 2018, London.

The World Chess Federation (Fide) made the announcement at a launch event in London.

This championship will be the last one within “British chess season” events this year.

World champion Magnus Carlsen’s challenger will be decided on March 10-28 at the eight-man Candidates Tournament in Berlin.

Levon Aronian qualified for the championship through this year’s Chess World Cup.
