Armenian men’s chess team has set off to Reykjavik to take part in the European Team Chess Championship 2015 championship on November 12-22.
Head coach of the team Arshak Petrosyan has told Mediamax Sport correspondent that the team trained in Tsakhkadzor.
“The guys are in good shape and the atmosphere in the team is excellent as always. We have work on the chess and sports preparation. We hope we will be able to do well and make our people happy”, said Petrosyan.
The Armenian team’s is the 6th in Europe but Petrosyan believes they will be able to upgrade the ranking.
The Armenian chess team at the EC will comprise Levon Aronian, Gabriel Sargsyan, Sergey Movsisyan, Hrant Melkumyan and Karen Grigoryan.
