Armenian boxer Alex Miskirtchian’s team has arrived in Yerevan to organize a boxing match.

Mediamax Sport’s correspondent had an interview with the boxer and his team and attempted to find out various niceties related to the match.

“We had a meeting with Head of Armenian Boxing Federation Arthur Gevorgyan and National Olympic Committee of Armenia President Gagik Tsarukyan. They should hold talks with each other and hopefully, we will be able to organize the fight in Armenia. Things will be clear in a few days”, Miskirtchian’s spokesperson Felix Paytyan said.

Miskirtchian scored a victory in the previous fight and got a right to challenge IBF champion Evgeny Gradovich for the IBF belt.

According to Miskirtchian’s manager Alain Vanackère, nothing is clear yet and works aimed at organizing the mach in Yerevan are underway.

“Miskirtchian-Gradovich match should take place within four months but it’s yet not clear as to where and when. Negotiations are underway”, Vanackère noted.

According to him, holding a match in Armenia will also contribute to the development of professional box in our country, “Professional box has already gone beyond the U.S. borders and is gaining popularity in other countries. If there are sponsors, then why not to develop it in Armenia as well”?

If Miskirtchian-Gradovich match eventually takes place in Armenia, then it won’t be the only one in the evening as the organizers want to invite other famous boxers as well.

“To attract the attention of the TV, the evening should be well-organized, and the latter requires good sponsorship. Presently, Alex’s match is in my focus of interest but we will do our best to invite, why not, Arthur Abraham. All we need is to find a good sponsor”, the boxer’s manager summed up.
