Two Armenian boxers will compete for gold medals in different weight groups in the World University Boxing Championships in Elista, Republic of Kalmykia, Russian Federation.
Zhorzhik Marutyan (Armenia, 56kg) qualified for the final by beating Damir Khikmatulin (Russia) in the semi-final, while Henrik Sargsyan (Armenia, 91kg) beat Andrey Zatusevschii (Moldova).
Another Armenia representative Anush Grigoryan (51) reached the semi-finals too, but she lost her fight and took the bronze medal.
Gurgen Hovhannisyan, also an Armenian boxer, will try to qualify for superweight finals today.
