The boxing team of Armenia will return with one medal from the European Championships held in Samokov, Bulgaria.
Aram Avagyan (56 kg) managed to win Nicolae Andreiana (Romania) in the quarterfinal and advanced to the semifinal.
Avagyan has at least secured the bronze medal and got the chance to participate in the world championship this year. The Armenian boxer will fight Qais Ashfaq (Great Britain) in the semifinal.
The rest of nine representatives of Armenia have lost and dropped out of further competition.
