Olympic Rio is making final preparations, as mere hours are left till the launch of the XXXI Summer Olympic Games.

After a breakfast of delicious Brazilian fruit, we hurried to Media Village. It is located in Barra, like a number of venues and the Olympic Village. There is no transportation problem, the buses work timely and quickly.

Journalists from so many different countries gathered in Media Village, trying to bring the best and the most interesting news to their viewers.

Our next stop was at the Olympic Village, where we met athletes of various sports. Everyone is in a good mood, communicating and joking with each other. We were greeted by a member of Armenian Olympic Committee delegation Gagik Bolshikyan, who showed us to Armenian athletes’ quarters and hurried off to the airport to welcome other Armenian sportsmen, arriving in Rio.

The whole village is decorated with national flags, and some athletes are running and training. We saw the colours of our flag, and soon after had a meeting with Armenian athletes. There is little time left until they enter the competition.

In the days to come, we will tell you about the Olympic days at Rio and pass on the spirit of the Olympics’ capital.
