The next stage of Grand Chess Tour, Tata Steel India kicks off in Kolkata on November 22.
The players will be competing in rapid and blitz game formats. Armenia will be represented in this tournament, which features some strong players, by Levon Aronian.
His opponents are last year’s winners Hikaru Nakamura (USA) and Viswanathan Anand (India), as well as World champion Magnus Carlsen (Norway), Ding Liren (China), Wesley So (USA), Ian Nepomniachtchi (Russia), Anish Giri (the Netherlands), Vidit Gujrathi and Pentala Harikrishna (India).
The rapid games will be held on November 22-24 and the blitz ones – on November 25-26. The prize fund of Tata Steel India makes USD 150,000.
