Levon Aronian finishes third in Grand Chess Tour

The Grand Chess Tour ended with completion of London Chess Classis, and Armenian grandmaster Levon Aronian finished third by overall results.

Aronian lost to current World champion Magnus Carlsen (Norway) in the last round of London Chess Classis and completed the competition on the 7th place. The winner of the London tournament is Fabiano Caruana (USA).

In the Grand Chess Tour, Aronian gained 29 points in total and finished third. Magnus Carlsen took the first place and is followed by second-placed Maxime Vachier-Lagrave (France).
