Competition has grown more intense in Armenian Chess Championships.
The 6th round of the Men’s Championship saw the clash of the leaders Hayk Martirosyan and Zaven Andriasyan. 16-year-old Martirosyan played the black and managed to win. Now he is on the top of the tournament table with 4 points.
Andriasyan is 0.5 points behind him and occupies the second place. Five other chess players – Tigran Petrosyan, Tigran Harutyunyan, Robert Hovhannisyan, Arman Pashikyan and Samvel Ter-Petrosyan – have 3 points each.
The Women’s Championship has two leaders at the moment. Maria Gevorgyan and Siranush Ghukasyan have earned 4.5 points each. They are followed by Anna Hayrapetyan, who has 4 points.
