European champions Artur Hovhannisyan and Hovhannes Bachkov, both representing Armenia, have won their fights today.
Hovhannisyan (52kg) left no chances for Masud Yusifzada (Azerbaijan) and got a confident 5-0 win.
Bachkov (63kg) had an impressively entertaining fight against Jose Manuel Viafara Fori (Colombia). Fast, well-aimed and powerful blows gave Bachkov a 5-0 victory over the Colombian.
Both Armenian athletes have reached the quarter-finals.
Two other fights involving Armenian boxers will be held today: Henrik Sargsyan (91kg) vs. Clarke Cheavon (England) and Gurgen Hovhannisyan vs. Maksim Babanin (Russia).
