Arman Darchinyan keeps winning in World Boxing C’ship

Two boxers representing Armenia in the World Championship in Yekaterinburg yesterday won their respective fights.

Arman Darchinyan (75kg weight category) beat Andrej Csemez (Slovakia) in the 1/8 final and Gurgen Hovhannisyan (super heavy) defeated Aleksandar Mraovic (Austria). Both Armenian athletes won 5-0.

Today, two European champions will compete for a place in quarter-finals: Artur Hovhannisyan (52kg) will face Masud Yusifzada (Azerbaijan) and Hovhannes Bachkov will fight with Jose Manuel Viafara Fori (Colombia).

Other members of Armenia team to compete today are Henrik Sargsyan (91kg), who is going to face Clarke Cheavon (England), and Gurgen Hovhannisyan, who is to fight against Maksim Babanin (Russia).
