Bavcevic: Beating Bosnia team is our only option

Head coach of Armenia basketball team Niksa Bavcevic said his team had no experience of games of that level after the loss to Sweden.

“Unfortunately, we couldn’t break their pressing. We lost the ball 19 times and didn’t use bonuses properly. Those two factors impacted the score,” Armenian Basketball Federation quotes Bavcevic.

Armenia now trails third in Group A with 8 points. Sweden leads in the group, the team qualified for the next round. Bosnia and Herzegovina, also with 8 points, is currently the second in Group A.

“We can do this. Beating the Bosnia team will give us the quota. Our only option is to win. I hope Armenian fans will come to watch the game and support us,” said the head coach.

The Armenia vs Bosnia and Herzegovina game will take place at 8pm on August 19. Entrance is free.
