It’s impossible to imagine sport without fans. Athletes work for the fans too, trying to do everything to make them happy.
This issue of In One Shot series presents the photo of one of the most dedicated sport fans, Araks Simonyan. The picture was made on October 7, 2011, when the Armenia national football team defeated the Macedonia team 4:1 in the home game.
This photo was made after the fourth goal, that’s why I’m showing “4”. It was the time when we had a great team, winning several games in a row. This photo depicted sincere emotions – when the margin is big and the game is almost over, you feel that this is it… I cannot find words.
The Armenia-Macedonia match in the Euro-2012 qualifiers, and we really needed to win. We had good chances to make it to the final, but unfortunately the last match, with Ireland, wasn’t so successful.
The atmosphere is especially nice at the seats of fan-clubs, the fans live football.
My whole family loves football. If there is a football game, we watch it no matter what.
I went to the stadium for the first time in 2007, to the Armenia-Portugal game. That was when I met members of FFA, and since then I always watch games live, at the stadium. I stay to the end, even if our team is losing.
