While Henrikh Mkhitaryan continues to miss from Manchester United match day squads, he has films about him coming out in succession.

‘Micki: An Armenian Hero’ came out recently, and matchtv were the next to tell about Mkhitaryan.

The chief ambassador of Armenia

“Charles Aznavour is the chief ambassador of Armenia. What he does for Armenia is so much more than what I give. Some people don’t care about football, but focus on culture and Aznavour.”

Career goals

“For me, it’s important to win trophies. That’s what you have left when your career is over.”

“My biggest goal is to win the Champions League. On the club and national team level, of course, I’d love to play in the finals of European competitions and the World Cup.”

The meaning of money

“I never focused on financial conditions. If you do that, football becomes secondary. I’m still unsure as to how much I earn.”

“Of course, I know the cost of the transfer and the contract, but I have no idea about my monthly salary. What matters to me is to play football and be happy.”

On life in Manchester

“The Armenian restaurant was the first place I visited in Manchester. I met with the owner, we’re good friends now. My latest invitee to the restaurant was Zlatan, before the game with Saint Etienne. Zlatan had some Armenian food and scored a hat-trick, so the memories are good.”

Zlatan the God

“Zlatan is a difficult man, and people don’t get his jokes. But we had a good relationship from the start.

Even when he was injured and wasn’t with the team, we kept in touch. Everyone knows he calls himself God. But when we went to Rostov, I told him, “See, who’s God here?” I’m joking, of course, there were just a lot of Armenian fans there who chanted my name.”
