Arsenal’s former forward Ian Wright criticized José Mourinho for not letting Henrikh Mkhitaryan play in his usual position of midfielder.
“He has played Mkhitaryan as a winger so far, but his position is in the center. He played it at Borussia Dortmund, that’s where he has done his best work. He has come in [Manchester United] and he hasn’t played. Playing in his preferred central position will help him settle quicker,” Wright said.
Mkhitaryan played in the first team only in the game against Manchester City after moving to England, and was a substitute in other matches. He is recovering from injury now, which is why he’s missed two games.
