Armenian freestyle juniors win two medals in Wrestling World Championship

The Armenia freestyle wrestling team won two medals in the Junior World Championship in Tampere, Finland.

Karen Zurabyan (50kg) earned the silver medal, while Arsen Harutyunyan (55kg) took the bronze.

In late June those two athletes delivered good performance at the Junior European Championship as well, winning bronze medals.

Greco-Roman style wrestlers will start competing on August 5. Armenia’s Greco-Roman team, coached by Armen Babalaryan, includes Ashot Mkhitaryan (50kg), Tigran Minasyan (55kg), Malkhas Amoyan (66kg), Arman Baghdasaryan (74kg), and Davit Ovasapyan (heavyweight).
