The Armenian Greco-Roman wrestling team is preparing for the upcoming Grand Prix in Tbilisi.

The youngsters, who’re to compete in the European Championship soon, are training now with the seniors’ team.

Head coach Levon Julfalakyan told Mediamax Sport he’s taking a big team to the Tbilisi tournament.

“The tournament in Tbilisi is very important for us, as it will be the base for deciding the World Championship team. I’ll take 20-22 wrestlers to Georgia, they will face tough competition there,” Julfalakyan said.

According to the coach, some athletes might perform in the Warsaw tournament before the World Championship: “We’ll send 2 or 3 wrestlers there if we need to, but if we don’t, we’ll skip that competition.”

In the meantime, the Greco-Roman wrestlers will hold training camps in Crimea, Belarus, and Armenia. In August, the team will travel to World Championship in Paris from Yerevan.
