On April 18 in Abovyan, Armenian freestyle wrestling team will kick off the last training camp before the European Championship.

Until then, manager Armen Mkrtchyan is training the team in Yerevan.

Mkrtchyan told Mediamax Sport that the training has been very good so far.

“We didn’t have enough time but we tried to get the wrestlers in good shape through lots of hard work. We do everything to perform well at the European Championship. We will practice elements and fix all remaining errors during the last training,” Mkrtchyan said.

At the European Championship on May 2-7, Armenia will be represented by Gagik Barseghyan (57kg), Volodya Frangulyan (61kg), Narek Sirunyan (65kg), Valter Margaryan (70kg), Grigor Grigoryan (74kg), Vahe Tamrazyan (86kg), Georgi Ketoev (97kg) and Levan Berianidze (125kg).
