Armenia reveals Greco-Roman wrestling team for European Championship

The Armenian Greco-Roman wrestling team will have 7 athletes in the European Championship.

Manager of the team Levon Julfalakyan told Mediamax Sport that they will wrap up the training camp in Tsaghkadzor tomorrow and leave for Belarus on April 19.

“We intend to hold the last training before the competition at Staiki base. Now the men are in a good shape, and everything goes according to the schedule. We won’t have a heavy weight athlete in the championship. As for the 98kg category, we will decide who to send later,” Julfalakyan said.

The athletes to represent Armenia in the European Championship are Gevorg Gharibyan (59kg), Karen Aslanyan (66kg), Rafael Aleksanyan (71kg), Karapet Chalyan (75kg), Sargis Kocharyan (80kg) and Maksim Manukyan (85kg).
