Armenian Greco-Roman wrestling team is holding another training camp in Yerevan.

The team is preparing to the upcoming international tournament in Kiev on March 3-4, where Armenia will be represented by 8 athletes.

“This is yet another competition getting us ready to the European Championship. Until then we need to see what gaps we have to fill, what mistakes we have to fix, and to prepare for a good performance on that platform,” the team head coach Levon Julfalakyan told Mediamax Sport.

Armenian athletes to perform in Kiev are Gevorg Gharibyan (59kg), Karen Aslanyan (66kg), Varsham Boranyan and Rafael Aleksanyan (75kg), Rafik Manukyan and Sargis Kocharyan (80kg), Artur Aleksanyan (98kg) and Vachik Yeghiazaryan (130kg).

“Arsen Julfalakyan has recovered and trains in full. He will compete in the Tallinn tournament on April 8. We’ll have two more camps, the latter of them in Staiki sport base in Belarus. From there we’ll go to the European Championship in Serbia,” the coach said.
