The Armenian athletes won yet another medal in Junior World Weightlifting Championship, which currently takes place in Tokyo.
Samvel Gasparyan (under 150 kg) won bronze medal with total 365 kg.
He was only in the sixth place with 160 kg in the snatch. Samvel Gasparyan was able to lift 200 and then 205 kg in clean and jerk, taking the small silver medal.
Reza Beiralvand (Iran) became the winner of the World Championship with 369 kg, while Georgian Dato Khetsuriani took the second place with 368 kg.
Sona Poghosyan took the bronze medal in Seniors’ World Championship yesterday.
Athletes still to perform for Armenia are winner of Junior World Championship and bronze medalist of the Olympic Games Simon Martirosyan (+105 kg), and bronze medalist of Youth World Championship Arpine Dalalyan (+90 kg).
