European Weightlifting Championships kicked off in Split, Croatia.
Armenia will be represented by 6 athletes in the men’s competition and by 3 athletes in the women’s.
The female athletes will be the first to perform. Izabella Yaylyan will compete in the 58kg category. Sona Poghosyan (75kg) will perform on April 6, and Tatev Hakobyan (90kg) will get into competition on April 7.
Armenian team’s first male athlete to enter competition will be Andranik Karapetyan (85kg), on April 6.
Karush Ghukasyan (94kg) and silver medalist of Olympic Games Simon Martirosyan will perform on April 7. European champion among juniors Samvel Gasparyan (105kg), as well as Olympic silver winner Gor Minasyan and silver medalist of European Championship Ruben Aleksanyan (+105kg) will enter competition on April 8.
