Yesterday Armenian weightlifting team was represented by one athlete at the Junior and U23 European Weightlifting Championships in Eilat, Israel.
Razmik Oltetsyan (77kg) performed in U23 Championship and won a silver medal. He lifted 177kg in clean and jerk and took the second place in the exercise.
His total result of 314kg ensured the 4th position for him.
Earlier Armenian team got a gold medal thanks to Davit Hovhannisyan (77kg), who won the Junior European Weightlifting Championship.
Other Armenian athletes who will perform in the Junior Championship are Hakob Mkrtchyan (85kg), Samvel Gasparyan (94kg) and Simon Martirosyan (105kg).
U23 Championship will see performance of Karush Ghukasyan (94kg) and Mkrtich Mkrtchyan (105kg).
Sona Poghosyan (75kg) and Arpine Dalalyan (+75kg) will perform in women’s competition.
