Hayk Babayan qualified for the 2018 Junior Olympic Games, performing successfully in the European Shooting Championship in Gyor, Hungary.
He gained 618,4 points in 60 shots on 10 meter air rifle and took the 5th place. Babayan was able to provide good performance in the final as well and qualify for the 2018 Junior Olympics in Buenos Aires.
His elder brother Hrachik Babayan has also participated in Junior Olympics, winning the silver medal in 2014.
