Barça U12 team isn’t just a group of talented footballers. Although they are very young, they know how to sympathize and support each other.

They learned how to respect competitors from senior footballers like Cruyff, Guardiola, Puyol and Xavi. Current members of Barcelona’s main team also try to teach these children much more than the love for football and victories.

This edition of Mediamax Sport’s In One Shot series is dedicated to Barça U12 team, which received Laureus’s World Best Sporting Moment of the Year award of 2017.

With minimal score Barcelona was able to register a victory over Japanese Omija Ardiya in the final of Junior Soccer World Challenge.

While the winners were already cheering and celebrating their victory, the Japanese started to leave the ground in tears.

Nevertheless, Catalonian children behaved just like grown-ups. They were hugging the competitors with words of support.

Carles Puyol was the one to hand Laueus’s award to children during the ceremony in Monaco. “The young men showed the values of our club, they prioritize fair match and respect towards each other,” said the Head Coach of the team Sergi Milà.

Many senior footballers in Barcelona played in U14 team first, and maybe these children will fill the ranks of Barcelona’s main team soon.
