Victories and unforgettable memories in sports continue their existence and transmit through photos.

Within In One shot series, this time Mediamax Sport introduces the photo of one of the best boxers in the world Muhammad Ali, which was taken on May 25, 1965.

Sonny Liston was a World champion and had registered impressive know-outs. That is why many people just avoided competing with him, but not Cassius Clay.

He had already won in the 1960 Olympic Games by the time and liked receiving attention from media and photo cameras. He was not a favorite in that opposition, though he was able to achieve victory and become World champion at the age of 22.

The rematch took place a year later.  Clay was introduced as Muhammad Ali for the first time. The bout took only a round. Liston fell on the floor from Ali’s crushing right hook.

“Stand up and fight, loser,” Ali shouted at Liston. The referee could not move him away from the competitor. Ali was dancing on the ring with hands up.

Liston was able to stand up from the floor with difficulty, and the bout went on. Due to the chaotic situation, the referee did not manage to start scoring, and Liston stayed on the floor more than allowed: 17 seconds.

The bout ended as a result, and Muhammad Ali achieved yet another impressive victory.
