On March 26, 2013 Armenia’s national football team will host the Czech Republic team in Yerevan within the 2014 World Cup qualifiers. Mediamax talked to Czech Republic National football team head coach Michal Bilek.

- What's the mood in your team today, when just in a few weeks 2 official matches are to be played?

- I think we are in a better situation than in fall when we had injured players.

- What do you think about Group B and Czech Republic's opponents? Whom do you consider as your main opponent?

- Everybody considers the Italian team as a favorite in the Group B. Other teams, except Malta, have the same chances.

- Are you planning to make any changes in the squad for the matches against Denmark and Armenia?

- Good news is that injured Tomáš Rosický, a very important player, is now back with the team.

- What do you hope to get from the match against Armenia on March 26?

- At first, we play with Denmark at home and then we’ll play with Armenia away. Everything will depend on the atmosphere after the first match. Each point from these two matches is very important.

- What are your impressions of the Armenian squad?

- I think that the Armenians are a strong team. It was proved by smooth victories against Slovakia during the last qualification. Armenians show magnificent results especially in home matches.

- Two draws and one win. Do you think it’s a good result for your team at the moment?

- We have entered the autumn qualification with a big handicap. We practically missed all offensive players. From this viewpoint, the draw with Denmark is positive, on the other hand we miss two points by drawing with Bulgaria at home.

- What kind of football shall we expect from the Czech national team during upcoming matches against Denmark and Armenia?

- Last two friendly matches showed the style we would like to play in. And it always depends on the opponent if the style of the game is realized.

- Jan Koller, Pavel Nedvěd, Karel Poborský, Milan Baroš – these are the stars of the Czech national team who have already retired... How much time do you need to build a new team where the lack of previous stars will not be visible?

- It is true that we’ve had world stars in recent years. In a small country like Czech Republic it is not possible to grow stars continuously. It depends on many factors. There are some young players who can become stars in the future.

- Czech players haven't received any yellow or red cards during the first round of this qualification. Is it because of careful tactics or the team always respects the rules?

- Details make difference in football; cards are weakening the team. That is why we try to play without receiving any cards.
