Yerevan /Mediamax/. Armenian national football team and Manchester United midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan told about his important commitment to represent Armenia, playing in one of most popular clubs in the world.
The player who is touring in the U.S. with his team said this responding to fans’ questions, collected by UNINTERRUPTED.
Henrikh Mkhitaryan said that Zinedine Zidane had always been his idol in football, while he had not had a chance to meet him yet. The Armenian footballer informed about Manchester United’s matches with Real Madrid on July 23 in the United States, and within the frames of UEFA Super Cup in August, expressing his hope to finally meet Zidane.
Speaking about the most impressive playing field, Mkhitaryan named Dortmund’s home stadium, mentioning the unbelievable support from fans there.
Answering to the question on his “best buddy” in Manchester United, Henrikh did not name anyone. “We have a great atmosphere; we are like a family, so you do not single out anyone in your family.”
The Armenian footballer said that he would have probably become a lawyer, had he not chosen football. “The lawyers always wear good suits, that it why I guess this profession attracts me,” he joked.
By the way, superstar of American basketball LeBron James was the one to share the news about Mkhitaryan’s interview on his Facebook page. Mkhitaryan responded: “Hey LeBron James, I'm a big fan of everything you do, on and off the court.”
