Edgar Manucharyan made his debut for Armenian national team 13 years ago, playing against Kazakhstan. He was only 17 back then.

“By that time I have already played for the youth teams of all ages, but playing for the national team was another level of responsibility for me. The match itself was very interesting and ended in a 3:3 draw,” Manucharyan told in an interview to Football Federation of Armenia (FFA).

He noted that he was always happy to come to national team. This time was no exception, as he missed his teammates and the atmosphere of national teams’ matches a lot.

Manucharyan emphasized that the team made a real magic to score on the last minutes against Montenegro.

“Now we have to go on what we have started. Even though Kazakhstan is rather a strong team, we have to beat them and make our fans happy again, if we want to qualify for the World Cup,” he added.
