French representative Maxime Vachier-Lagrave became the leader of Sinquefield Cup 2017 in St. Louis.
He competed with Levon Aronian in the 5th round. The Armenian grandmaster played black pieces and was able to draw in this game.
Afterwards Vachier-Lagrave continued to lead the table with 3,5 points. Aronian gained 2,5 points.
Today is day off, Aronian will compete with Wesley So from USA on August 8.
