Armenians win India owing to Hrant Melkumyan

The penultimate round of World Team Chess Championship is held in Tsakhkadzor today.

The men’s team of Armenia played against the team of India and won 2.5-1.5.

Grandmasters playing at the first three boards ended the games in a tie – Levon Aronian shared his points with Pentala Harikrishna, Gabriel Sargsyan shared his points with Sethuraman Sethuraman and Sergey Movsisyan – with Krishnan Sasikiran.

Hrant Melkumyan was the last to end the game. He achieved advantage over Vidit Santosh and gained a winning point for the Armenian team.
