Judoka Hovhannes Davtyan, who won the 12th Olympic quota for the Armenian team, will participate in the most important sport event for the 3rd time in summer.

“I have been participating in different qualifying tournaments and earning points for four years now. Obviously, it’s hard, but I have confidence in my strength and I am in a resolute mood. I’m glad that I’ve secured my participation in Rio Games, and I’m already preparing for the Olympics”, Davtyan told Mediamax Sport.

He performed at Beijing and London Olympic Games. He hopes that the experience he gathered and the road he came will allow him to perform better this time.

Ferdinand Karapetyan is competing for a second quota for the Armenian team: “Ferdinand is very well-trained and holds stubborn wrestling matches, but it will be difficult for him. The reason is that he just joined the competition and should do everything to gain an Olympic Games quota in a few months”.
