Luis Figo appointed football advisor at UEFA

Former Portugal midfielder and captain Lusi Figo has been appointed football advisor at UEFA.

He will work with UEFA President Aleksander Ceferin across a variety of matters including technical aspects of the game, laws of the game and the overall attractiveness of the sport. He will also be the leading figure of the UEFA ambassadors programme.

“Luis Figo was a fantastic player who was exemplary in the way he conducted himself both on and off the pitch. He is a highly respected figure within the game and I am very pleased he is joining our team,” Ceferin said.
