Only one game in Round 8 of the Candidates Tournament in Berlin ended with a productive result.
Alexander Grischuk beat Vladimir Kramnik, while the other pairs - Ding Liren- Levon Aronian, Wesley So- Fabiano Caruana, and Shakhriyar Mamedyarov -Sergey Karjakin - drew their respective games.
Caruana has collected 5.5 points and retains leadership in the tournament. Aronian with 3 points is in the bottom of the table. The Armenian grandmaster will play with white pieces against Mamedyarov today.
