Levon Aronian is the leader of Saint Louis Rapid & Blitz of Grand Chess Tour.
The Armenian grandmaster won 12 points in three competition days and is 1 point ahead of Fabiano Caruana and Hikaru Nakamura.
Aronian defeated Sergey Karjakin and Leinier Dominguez and drew with Nakamura.
“We have had quite interesting pairings, let’s see what’s next. You need to enjoy the process when playing in several long tournaments. I have managed to combine it with good results so far,” Aronian said.
