The 10th Annual Karen Asrian Memorial will kick off today in Jermuk, Armenia.
90 chess players from Armenia, Russia, India, Latvia, France, Israel, and Georgia will take part in the tournament.
Latvia representative Igor Kovalenko is the player with the highest ranking (2656). He is followed by Hrant Melkumyan (2624) and Zaven Andriasyan (2622).
The Swiss-system tournament will contain 9 rounds and last until June 30.
