European champion Hovhannes Bachkov started his performance in World Boxing Championship with victory.
Bachkov (64 kg) defeated Bekdaulet Ibragimov (Kazakhstan) 3:2 and qualified for the quarter-final. He will fight on August 29.
Karen Tonakanyan (60 kg) also from Armenian national team will compete with Elnur Abdurakhimov (Uzbekistan) today.
