Armenian president meets with chairman of Manchester City

President of Armenia Armen Sarkissian has met with Khaldoon Khalifa Al Mubarak, Chairman of Manchester City FC and CEO of one of the world’s largest investment companies, Mubadala.

During the meeting in Manchester, the parties discussed the prospects of cooperation between Armenia and Mubadala and the possibilities of investment by Mubadala in projects in Armenia.

Mubadala invests mostly in high tech, telecommunications, energy, healthcare, real estate, infrastructure, education and science.

Khaldoon Al Mubarak introduced President Sarkissian to the work of The City Football Group, which owns Manchester City. In this context, the parties also discussed possible development projects for football in Armenia.

President Sarkissian also paid a visit to Manchester City academy and learned about its training programs for players of different age groups. At the invitation of Khaldoon Al Mubarak, Armen Sarkissian watched the Manchester City-Tottenham Premier League game in the stadium.
