Goalkeepers Arsen Beglaryan, Aram Hayrapetyan and Valeriy Voskonyan from the Armenian national team are training ahead of the matches against Malta and Moldova.

Football agent Khoren Kalashyan has his contribution in the decision of the three to move to Armenia.

Mediamax Sport reporter talked to Kalashyan about the goalkeepers.

Today I do not cooperate with the men, but I am very happy to have discovered them back then and persuade to play in Armenia. I have done a useful job for the team.

Arsen Beglaryan plays well with his feet and his reaction is quite developed too, but he fails to come off the line and meet the competitor.

I offered Beglaryan to move to Armenia in 2012 when his team in Krasnodar dissolved. I proposed him to play in the Armenian Premier League instead of the second group in Russia.

I suggested his candidacy to all football clubs, but no one believed in him. Finally, Gandzasar took Arsen and little by little he started to feel confident.

Aram Hayrapetyan’s strongest point is coming off the goal line. He does whatever Beglaryan fails to do. Hayrapetyan has great goalkeeping qualities.

He played in Sochi, but I persuaded him to come to Armenia. I noted that the team had an issue with goalkeepers, and that I was sure the Armenian team’s coaches would notice and invite him.

Valeriy Voskonyan needs more time, as he is very unconfident while playing. He has a great reaction and qualities for becoming a good goalkeeper, but still he needs some more time.

I was persuading Voskonyan to move from Ukraine here for two years. I knew that sooner or later he would become a member of the team. I think that all the three have the potential to reach the national team level.

Certainly we have registered a progress, but we need high-class tournaments to have stronger goalkeepers. Unfortunately, we do not have goalkeepers who play in other countries, while Armenian Championship isn’t quite strong.

Roman Berezovsky’s presence will motivate the goalkeepers and other members of the team. He gave a lot to this team, where he spent his whole career. Now Berezovsky will transmit his knowledge to the younger generation.

I wish good luck to coaches of our national team and all the players. We need victories today.
