Armenia falls behind in U16 Chess Olympiad

Armenia had a bad time in Round 5 of the World Youth U16 Chess Olympiad, loses to India 1.5-2.5.

Only Armen Barseghyan won his game, Shant Sargsyan got half a point from the draw, and Artur Davtyan and Mamikon Gharibyan lost their respective games.

The Armenian team has fallen to the 11th place. The leaders are Belarus and USA, each having gained 9 points.

In Round 6, Artashes Minasyan’s players will face Azerbaijan.
