Armenian-Argentinian tennis player David Nalbandian will partake in the Youth Olympics to take place on October 6-18 of 2018, Buenos Aires.
Together with tennis player Gabriela Sabatini he was named Athlete Role Model to inspire young sportsmen.
They both said that they are very excited: “Having the Youth Olympic Games in Buenos Aires will be a wonderful occasion, and I am excited to have the chance to be involved and use my experience to give back both to my sport and my home city. It is an honor to have been chosen to represent tennis as an Athlete Role Model for the Youth Olympic Games because it suggests I have left a footprint on our sport beyond simply what I achieved in my career,” Nalbandian said.
Sabatini told that sport has provided tremendous opportunities throughout her life and she looks forward to helping inspire a new generation of players and fans.
