Armenian national football team midfielder Marcos Pizzelli played in Kazakhstan for a long time.
Ahead of World Cup 2018 qualifying round match against Kazakhstan on March 26, Pizzelli told about the experience, which he brought to Armenia.
“I was really surprised with the level of football in Kazakhstan, when I moved there. The country had 4-5 really strong teams. I think that FC Astana proved, that the club football in Kazakhstan was rather high, playing in Champions League and Europe League group stage for two years in a row,” he said.
There are 5 players in Kazakhstan national football team, with whom Marcos played in FC Actobe.
“We are very much motivated to play our best football again. Our head coach Artur Petrosyan also wants to bring our best game back. I think that Kazakhstan has also proved that they have quality in previous game against Poland, where they surprised everyone playing a draw. So small details can be decisive in this game,” he added.
